Tip # 1: Don’t give up just because you are hungrier.
When you’re dieting, it is natural for you to feel hungrier because your fat cells will release all those hunger hormones telling you that you’re hungry, even when you have eaten. High protein and low carbohydrate diets will help to control that hunger.
Someone who’s a diabetic can get by with less insulin if they stick with a low-carb diet. Try eating more Greek yogurt and berries or eat some eggs. These foods are higher in protein and you’ll be less hungry.
Tip #2: Only eat Carbs that are enriched with fiber.
Get rid of the bad carbs like white breads, pastas and sugary sodas. Instead eat the good carbs like beans, fruits, and vegetables. These foods decreases health problems associated with diabetes, heart disease ad some cancers because they have a higher source of fiber.
Tip # 3: Follow the healthy habits, not what your scale tells you.
When you step on the scale all of the time it will cause you to become disheartened, because you’re not getting the results you may want.
Follow your healthy habits instead. Eating properly and exercising often are the healthy habits you may want to keep up with.
Get rid of your big goals like “I want to lose 10 lbs. per month” and adopt mini goals like “I will walk 5 laps around the perimeter of the grocery store” or “I will eat fruits and vegetables at dinner every night.”
You’ll feel better about achieving your mini goals than you will when you fail at your larger goals.
If you fail your mini goals, reflect on what went wrong and what you may need to do differently. Adjust when necessarily. Remember this:
“Forget what you can’t control and focus on what you can!”

Tip # 4: eat all your plants.
Incorporate lots of food from the ground. It doesn’t matter what diet you choose to follow, it should contain all low starch plant like foods if you want to succeed.
These foods have many vitamins, minerals, fiber, and water to make you feel full.
Tip #5: Reduce not eliminate your foods.
One of the reasons that most diets fail is because people try to cut out all the foods that are considered bad. This will only succeed in the person wanting the food even more.
Instead of eliminating the food completely, just keep control of the proper portions. If you do this and exercise regularly it will guarantee long-term weight loss while still enjoying your favorite foods once in a while.
Guilty feelings that you get when eating the wrong foods can have a negative effect on your emotions so it is good to try and not let it bother you.
Tip # 6: choose your calories carefully.
When you eat mostly addictive foods that mainly have sugar, fats, and salt, you end up having cravings all of the time. These foods have little to no nutritional value to them.
You can’t lose weight this way because you end up eating more calories which causes weight gain not weight loss. By eating healthy fats and lean proteins you’ll have fewer cravings through the day.
Tip # 7: Pre-plan your meals
Decide what you’re going to eat you will eat higher calorie meals and make less healthy choices. This is very bad for any diet.
So try this instead, while you’re eating your dinner think about and decide what would be good for dinner the next night.
This then gives you a chance to prepare for it ahead of time.
